Trackhouse Racing in Gulf colours?

How do we know the MotoGP season is finally over?  We start discussing the spray jobs on next season’s bikes as that’s the only thing of interest.  In most cases it’s just a little tweak of the current livery so the lazy designers can claim their wages.

However last season Trackhouse Racing performed an ‘anti-Yamaha’ by giving us the greatest and most unique livery possible.  Their astonishing all-American ‘Uncle Sam punching a commie in the nuts’ red, white and blue racing colour scheme made us want to drink watery beer and heckle buckle bunnies.

Sadly the iconic livery was hindered by two key aspects.   Their riders.  This meant we didn’t see the beautiful Aprilia on camera much as the TV directors mainly chose to heavily concentrate on following Marc Marquez to annoy Italy.

Hopefully 2025 won’t be as painful as the cowboy loving team have hired the Moto2 champion Ai Ogura – who has a name that if it’s said three times causes furniture to start floating around the room.

But how could Trackside’s livery improve for 2025 too?

News has broken that the American MotoGP team has partnered with Gulf Oil in a move that conveniently overlooks the George Bush and George Bush Jnr eras.  And with the collaboration comes the Gulf branding that has been used in motorsport for decades.

The iconic Gulf colour scheme is probably the best there is.  From making beautiful race cars look even more sexier:

To making shitty scooters appear less appealing to male hairdressers:

But what would a MotoGP bike look like in these legendary colours?  We gave the MGPNews design team 48 hours to come up with their best efforts – and the results were not what we expected!  Because we don’t have a design team.  So we just wasted 2 days sitting around wondering why nothing was happening.

After that fiasco we asked AI to do the heavy lifting for us.  And here’s its best attempts:

What do you think?
